Princeton University has been a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (MMUF) member institution since 1989. Each MMUF program has its own approach and identity. Princeton’s program focuses on professional development and intellectual community, and is designed to introduce students to the four pillars of professorial work:
- Research
- Teaching
- Service
- Mentorship
Through the combination of a cohort experience, seminars and workshops, faculty mentorship, writing support, professional development, research funding, conference presentations, application resources, committee participation, and connection with a regional and national MMUF network, Princeton MMUF prepares curious and engaged undergraduates to pursue PhDs in the humanities and humanistic social sciences and enter careers in the professoriate.
