Bio/Description
Ana Patricia Esqueda is Princeton senior majoring in psychology with certificates in linguistics and Latino Studies. She is interested in how systems of oppression—namely those that devalue members of low socioeconomic status or racial minorities—affect the development of individuals who may be bilingual and/or bicultural. Her current research project takes a step back to analyze the ways in which young children, well within their sensitive period of learning, master the peculiarities of language given the input that is provided by their community. Outside of the classroom, Ana Patricia is involved with the Scholars Institute Fellows Program, Princeton Latinos y Amigos, and the Más Flow Dance Company.
