I'm from Pharr, Texas. I graduated Princeton University (2016) in the English department. My research interests include the entire range of American Literature, with particular attention to underrepresented authors. My current scholarship focuses on Jack London's understudied works of non-fiction and speculative fiction. Specifically, I'm interested in how Jack London breaks genre barriers, exemplifies his imaginative prowess through unorthodox writings, and influences other 20th century writers such as Hemingway, Kerouac, and Orwell, among others.
